When we meet, I can support the weight of topics brought up using a diverse array of therapeutic techniques to foster clarity, self-esteem and personal growth. By integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and narrative practices, we can tailor our discussions to meet your unique needs.
IFS allows someone the safe, skillful qualities to explore and harmonize their internal 'parts,' promoting decisiveness, self-awareness and compassion. EFT strengthens emotional connections in relationships, helping people transform negative patterns into secure attachments. CBT equips individuals with practical tools to challenge and alter distorted thought patterns, while DBT emphasizes emotion regulation and skills for mindfulness. DBT enhances interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance. Lastly, narrative practices encourage clients to reframe their personal stories, highlighting their strengths and values.
Collaboratively, we can adapt these modalities to create a comprehensive therapeutic experience, empowering the ability to navigate challenges, cultivate resilience, and achieve lasting change.

Are you a veteran in therapy and experience frustration by limited relief? Then this may be a modality of interest to achieve new depth in healing unresolved visceral, intuitive and emotional resonance of past, current and anticipatory challenges.
Somatic Experiencing, founded by Peter Levine, explores one's autonomic nervous system. With safe guidance by a trained practitioner, you will practice regulating your autonomic nervous system. This modality encourages pacing, tracking, compassion and curiosity while you explore historical, current and anticipated events. These efforts alleviate coupled dynamics to improve responses to reactions to external and internal experiences.
Sarahlynn has completed the Somatic Experiencing Practitioner Certificate Training. Qualifications for interventions include: Polyvagal Therapy, Limbic Systems Therapy, Safe and Supportive Touch, and psychoeducation on interoception, exteroception, epigenetics, ventral vagal complex, parasympathetic nervous system, sympathetic nervous system, neuroscience, and mindfulness. Again, if none of those make sense to you, don't worry, that's what your practitioner is responsible for! When words can't accurately articulate a visceral experiential moment, express through the arts to creatively illustrate your story. Creative expression is inclusive to all and has no restraints. This includes adapting and trusting in the process for what is revealed.

As of June 20, 2024, The Government of Canada has passed Bill C-59 An Act to Implement Certain Provisions to the Fall Economic Statement that removes the GST/HST on counselling therapy and psychotherapy services in provinces that regulate the profession. All rates exempt tax.
